Jewish Family and Child Services

Jewish Family and Child Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals through life transitions and crisis. The parent JFCS brand offers an overarching selection of services, while four sub-brands specialize in specific areas. The challenge was to create a framework that allowed the parent brand, JFCS, to show all the services while the four sub-brands had to live with JFCS while also standing alone.

The Solution
JFCS does not discriminate by religion, race, age or gender. To represent the broad audience they support and their constant drive to reach out into the community we chose to represent the different services through hand gestures. Each service relates to a specific photograph on the JFCS site. The grid structure and type styling creates a framework for the supporting sub-brands while still reflecting the parent brand, JFCS.

Technology
The content is all driven by a content management system and the framework is infinitely scalable. The site features a custom build events calendar and registration system.

My Role
While at Elliance, I designed, art directed and oversaw production of the entire project. Working closely with the account executives and information architects we created a strong, scalable framework for the five sites.
